No visa needed. French ordinary passport holders can visit Hong Kong visa-free for up to 90 days. French (FR) ordinary passport holders do not need a visa to visit Hong Kong for tourism, family visits, transit, or the visitor business activities Hong Kong permits. Hong Kong Immigration lists France with a visa-free visit period not exceeding 90 days. Carry a French passport valid for at least one month after the planned end of stay in Hong Kong, onward or return transport unless transiting to Chinese Mainland or Macao, and adequate funds. Visitors may not take paid or unpaid employment, establish or join a business, or study; limited business activities such as contracts, tenders, seminars, business meetings, and trade-fair participation are generally allowed as visitor activities. Hong Kong is a separate immigration jurisdiction from Chinese Mainland and Macao, so check the separate entry rules before any side trip.
