Finland to India visa requirements

Finnish ordinary passport holders need an Indian visa before travel. The usual tourist route is the e-Tourist Visa online: USD 10/25 for 30 days, USD 40 for 1 year, or USD 200 for 5 years, plus a 3% bank charge. Finnish ordinary passport holders cannot enter India visa-free or on arrival for tourism. Finland is listed among the nationalities eligible for India's e-Visa, and the Embassy of India in Helsinki points applicants to the official India Visa Online e-Visa service, where the application is online and the ETA is sent by email. For tourism, the official 20 February 2026 fee table lists Finland at USD 10 for a 30-day e-Tourist Visa in April-June, USD 25 for a 30-day e-Tourist Visa in July-March, USD 40 for a 1-year e-Tourist Visa, and USD 200 for a 5-year e-Tourist Visa, plus a 3% bank transaction charge. The 30-day e-Tourist Visa is valid for 30 days from first arrival and is double-entry within its validity; 1-year and 5-year e-Tourist Visas are multiple-entry, and India's e-Visa FAQ says maximum stay in India during one calendar year should not exceed 180 days. Apply at least 4 days before arrival: the 30-day tourist category can be requested up to 30 days ahead, while 1-year/5-year tourist and most other e-Visa categories can be requested up to 120 days ahead. The passport must have at least six months validity at application time and at least two blank pages, and travellers should hold a return/onward ticket and sufficient funds. Foreign nationals and OCI cardholders must also complete India's free e-Arrival Card online within 72 hours before arrival. e-Visa holders must enter through one of the designated e-Visa airports or seaports; other purposes or ineligible cases require a regular/paper visa through an Indian mission.
