Do Finland passport holders need a visa to visit Spain (Schengen)?

No visa needed. As an EU citizen, a Finnish passport holder enjoys freedom of movement and can travel to Spain for tourism with no visa, no ETIAS, and no stay limit. Finland and Spain are both EU member states and part of the Schengen Area. A Finnish ordinary passport holder is an EU citizen with the right of free movement, so no visa, residence permit, or ETIAS travel authorisation is required to enter Spain for tourism or any short visit. You may travel with a valid Finnish passport or national ID card; internal Schengen borders normally have no passport checks, though carry valid ID at all times. The Schengen 90/180-day rule and ETIAS (launching late 2026) apply only to non-EU visa-exempt visitors, NOT to EU citizens — there is no maximum length of stay for a Finn in Spain. If you intend to stay longer than three months you simply register with Spanish authorities (obtaining an EU citizen residence certificate / NIE), but a tourist or short visit requires nothing beyond your travel document.
