Finland to Colombia visa requirements

Finnish passport holders do not need a visa to visit Colombia for tourism. As EU citizens, they receive a free 90-day entry permit (PIP) on arrival, extendable to a maximum of 180 days per calendar year. A Finland (FI) ordinary passport holder can travel to Colombia (CO) for tourism without any visa. Colombia is in South America and is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this journey (ETIAS would only be relevant for Colombians traveling to Finland, not the reverse). Under Colombia's visa policy, citizens of all 27 EU member states, including Finland, are exempt from tourist visas. On arrival, the traveler is granted a Permiso de Ingreso y Permanencia (PIP) stamp permitting an initial stay of up to 90 days, which can be extended once at Migración Colombia for a further 90 days, up to a total of 180 days within a single calendar year (January-December). No visa fee applies. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of intended departure from Colombia, and travelers should hold proof of onward or return travel. The Check-Mig electronic pre-registration form is part of Colombia's migration process; while Migración Colombia announced in early 2025 that it is no longer strictly obligatory, many airlines and gate agents still request it, so completing it (free, 72-1 hours before departure) is recommended to avoid boarding issues.
