Do Finland passport holders need a visa to visit CM?
Finnish ordinary passport holders need a visa for Cameroon, but it is obtained online as an eVisa via the official portal evisacam.cm before travel. There is no visa-free or standard tourist visa-on-arrival channel for Finns. Finland is not on Cameroon's visa-exempt list, so a Finnish ordinary passport holder must hold a visa for any short tourist visit. Since the launch of Cameroon's electronic visa system in 2023 (official portal evisacam.cm), the standard route is an eVisa applied for online before departure. The process is: pre-register online, pay the fee, receive an electronic approval, then complete biometric enrolment and collect the printed visa on arrival at the port of entry. The short-stay visa is valid for up to 180 days and can be issued for single or multiple entries. Normal processing is around 72 hours after payment (24 hours under the express option), and the High Commission advises applying at least 10 days before travel. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory and the passport must be valid for at least six months. Cameroon is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
