Egypt to Vietnam visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need an e-visa for Vietnam. Apply online before travel at evisa.gov.vn for up to 90 days. Egypt is not on Vietnam's visa-exemption list, so an Egyptian ordinary passport holder must obtain a visa before tourist travel. The simplest route is Vietnam's electronic visa (e-visa), available to citizens of all countries and territories since the policy expansion that took effect in August 2023. The e-visa is applied for entirely online through the official government portal at evisa.gov.vn, costs US$25 for single entry or US$50 for multiple entries, and allows a stay of up to 90 days. Standard processing is about 3 working days (allow 3-5). The e-visa is valid for entry at Vietnam's designated international airports, land borders, and seaports. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months on arrival. There is no visa-on-arrival route for independent tourists without a pre-approval letter, so the e-visa is the recommended and most straightforward option.
