Egypt to Uzbekistan visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Uzbekistan, but it is a simple electronic visa (e-visa) obtained online before travel. There is no visa-free entry and no visa on arrival. As of 2026, holders of an ordinary Egyptian passport require a visa to enter Uzbekistan for tourism. Uzbekistan does not grant Egyptian citizens visa-free entry or visa on arrival. The practical route is the official Uzbekistan e-visa, applied for online at e-visa.gov.uz before departure. The standard tourist e-visa is single-entry, costs USD 20 (government fee), is valid for 90 days from issue, and permits a stay of up to 30 days. Processing typically takes about 2-3 business days, so applicants should apply at least 3 working days before their intended entry date. Double-entry (USD 35) and multiple-entry (USD 50) e-visas are also available. Uzbekistan is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. In April 2025 the President of Uzbekistan proposed simplifying visa procedures for tourists from Egypt (and India, Pakistan, Iran), but as of mid-2026 this remains a proposal and has not produced visa-free access for Egyptian ordinary passport holders, so the e-visa requirement stands. Only the 90-day visa-free regime tied to diplomatic passports is in force for Egypt, which does not help ordinary tourists.
