Egypt to Ukraine visa requirements
Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa before traveling to Ukraine. Egypt is NOT eligible for Ukraine's e-visa, so you must apply in person for a Type C short-stay visa at the Embassy of Ukraine in Cairo (or a Ukrainian consulate). Note: Ukraine is not in the Schengen area, and a state of martial law remains in effect. As of 2026, an Egyptian ordinary passport holder requires a visa to enter Ukraine for tourism. When Ukraine relaunched its electronic visa system on 17-19 February 2025, it limited eligibility to 45 countries (mainly ASEAN states plus China, India and a few others); African nations including Egypt, Morocco and Nigeria were explicitly excluded. Egyptians are therefore not eligible for the e-visa and cannot enter visa-free (only Egyptian diplomatic, official and service passport holders enjoy a visa waiver). The correct channel is a short-stay Type C visa obtained from the Embassy of Ukraine in Cairo, which can be issued as single, double or multiple entry and permits a stay of up to 90 days within a 180-day period; the visa itself can be valid for up to 6 months. The standard consular fee is USD 65 for regular service (up to 10 working days) or USD 130 for expedited service (up to 5 working days). Applicants must show a passport valid at least 6 months beyond the stay, travel medical insurance of at least EUR 30,000, proof of accommodation and onward travel, and proof of sufficient funds. Ukraine is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply; the 90/180 cap referenced here is Ukraine's own short-stay limit. Travelers should also be aware that Ukraine remains under martial law due to the ongoing war, and many governments advise against travel.
