🇪🇬Egypt🇵🇬Papua New GuineaEG-PG Egypt to Papua New Guinea visa requirements
Egyptian ordinary passport holders need an eVisa for Papua New Guinea. Egypt is not on PNG's visa-on-arrival or Easy Visitor Permit lists, so you must apply online for a Tourist (Visitor) eVisa before travelling, typically the "Own Itinerary" class. As of June 2026, Egyptian (EG) ordinary passport holders are NOT eligible for visa-free entry, the Easy Visitor Permit, or visa on arrival to Papua New Guinea (PG). PNG's visa-on-arrival and Easy Visitor Permit channels are limited to a defined list of countries (e.g. many EU/Schengen states, the UK, USA, Australia, NZ, Japan, and Pacific Island states), and Egypt does not appear on those lists. Egyptian tourists must therefore obtain a Visitor visa in advance through PNG's official eVisa system run by the Immigration and Citizenship Authority (ICA) at evisa.ica.gov.pg. For independent tourism the relevant class is "Tourist (Own Itinerary)"; group travellers use "Tourist (Tour Package)". The visitor eVisa is single-entry, valid for up to 6 months from issue, and permits a stay of up to 60 days per entry (extendable in-country at ICA discretion). The standard online lodgement fee is USD 50. Applications are submitted entirely online with a scanned passport bio page (passport valid at least 6 months), a passport photo, travel itinerary/flight details, accommodation details, and proof of sufficient funds. Processing is commonly a few business days but ICA advises allowing up to about 10 business days. Travellers should carry the approved authority-to-travel/eVisa document for boarding and entry. Because some commercial third-party sites publish inconsistent information, always apply via the official ICA portal and verify before booking.
