Egypt to Namibia visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Namibia, but it is available on arrival (and online before departure as an e-VoA). As an African Union nationality, Egyptians pay the reduced fee of N$1,200 for a stay of up to 90 days. As of June 2026, holders of an ordinary Egyptian passport are NOT visa-exempt for Namibia, but they qualify for Namibia's Visa on Arrival (VoA) scheme. Since Namibia overhauled its policy on 1 April 2025, it now requires visas from many nationalities while channeling most eligible travelers, including Egyptians, into a VoA program that can be applied for either online in advance (e-VoA via the Ministry of Home Affairs portal, eservices.mhaiss.gov.na) or at the port of entry. Egypt is an African Union member, so the applicable fee is the African rate of N$1,200 (approximately US$66), rather than the N$1,600 non-African rate. The visa permits tourist stays of up to 90 days. Only Egyptian diplomatic and official/service passport holders are visa-exempt; ordinary passport holders must obtain the VoA. Namibia is in Southern Africa and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Travelers should carry a passport valid at least six months beyond entry with at least three blank pages, proof of onward/return travel, accommodation details, and sufficient funds. Applying online before travel is recommended to avoid queues and a manual-counter service surcharge.
