Egypt to Mozambique visa requirements
Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Mozambique. Egypt is not on Mozambique's visa-exempt (eTA) list, but it is eligible for the Mozambique eVisa, which should be obtained online before departure. A 30-day single-entry tourist eVisa typically costs around USD 50 (government fee) and is processed in a few business days. As of 2026, Mozambique requires Egyptian citizens to hold a visa for tourism. Mozambique exempts only about 29 nationalities (mainly major tourism markets like the US, UK, Canada and much of Europe), who still need an electronic travel authorization (eTA) before arrival; Egypt is not among them. A separate group of (mostly neighboring) countries must apply through Mozambican embassies. Egypt falls into the eVisa category: Egyptian travelers apply online through the official portal at evisa.gov.mz, pay the visa fee, and receive an electronic authorization to print and present on arrival. The standard tourist eVisa allows a stay of up to 30 days, is generally issued for a single entry, and requires a passport valid at least six months beyond entry with at least two blank pages, plus proof of accommodation and an onward/return ticket. Although a visa on arrival has historically been available at major airports and key land borders, Mozambique's 2026 entry rules push travelers to secure an eVisa or eTA before departure, and airlines increasingly verify pre-arrival authorization at check-in, so visa on arrival should not be relied upon. The eVisa is therefore the recommended and most reliable path for Egyptian tourists.
