🇪🇬Egypt🇲🇰North MacedoniaEG-MK Egypt to North Macedonia visa requirements
Yes. Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter North Macedonia. You must apply for a Type C short-stay (tourist) visa in advance at a North Macedonian embassy or consulate. There is one important shortcut: if you already hold a valid multiple-entry Schengen, US, UK, or Canadian visa (or an EU/Schengen residence permit), you may enter visa-free for up to 15 days through 31 December 2026. North Macedonia is not in the Schengen Area and does not grant visa-free access, an eVisa, or visa-on-arrival to Egyptian ordinary passport holders. The Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that Egyptian nationals must obtain a Type C short-stay visa from a North Macedonian diplomatic or consular mission before travel. The visa permits stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period and currently costs EUR 60 (EUR 35 for children aged 6-12). Applications should be lodged no earlier than 6 months and no later than 15 days before the intended trip, and require supporting documents such as travel insurance (minimum EUR 30,000 coverage), proof of accommodation, proof of funds, and onward/return travel. A significant exemption applies: holders of a valid multiple-entry Schengen Type C visa, a US, UK, or Canadian multiple-entry visa, or an EU/Schengen residence permit may enter North Macedonia without a Macedonian visa for up to 15 days. This US/UK/Canada arrangement is a temporary measure currently extended through 31 December 2026. Because North Macedonia is outside Schengen, neither the Schengen 90/180 rule nor ETIAS applies to entering North Macedonia itself.
