Egypt to Liberia visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Liberia. Because Egypt hosts a Liberian diplomatic mission, Egyptians are excluded from Liberia's electronic Visa-on-Arrival (e-VOA) scheme and must apply for a traditional visa at a Liberian embassy or consulate before travel. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. Liberia grants visa-free entry only to ECOWAS member states (plus a few neighbours); Egypt is not exempt. Since Liberia launched its e-VOA platform on 11 March 2025, online VOA/eVisa is available only to travelers from countries WITHOUT a Liberian embassy. Egypt maintains diplomatic relations with Liberia and is on the list of embassy-served countries, so Egyptian nationals cannot use the e-VOA portal and must obtain a paper visa from a Liberian embassy/consulate in advance. A standard single-entry tourist visa typically costs around USD 70-180 depending on the post and validity, with processing of roughly 5-12 working days. All travelers must carry a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate and a passport valid at least six months with a blank page. Given the embassy-only channel for Egyptians and the conservative default, the verdict is visa-required.
