Egypt to South Korea visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit South Korea for tourism. Apply for a C-3-9 short-term tourism visa at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Cairo before travel. Egypt is not on South Korea's visa-exemption list — its visa-free arrangement was cancelled on 1 September 2018 — and Egyptian nationals are therefore not eligible for K-ETA (which applies only to visa-exempt nationalities). To visit for tourism, an Egyptian ordinary passport holder must obtain a C-3-9 short-term tourism visa in advance from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Cairo. The C-3-9 is normally a single-entry visa permitting a stay of up to 90 days, with processing of roughly 5-6 business days. Applicants submit a passport valid at least 6 months with 2 blank pages, the application form, a photo, bank statements, proof of accommodation, a round-trip itinerary and travel insurance. The standard single-entry short-term visa fee is about USD 40 (set by reciprocity; confirm with the Cairo embassy). There is no visa-on-arrival or eVisa pathway for Egyptian tourists.
