Egypt to India visa requirements
Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa for India, but can apply online for an e-Tourist Visa (eVisa) before travel - no embassy visit required. Egypt is on India's list of countries eligible for the e-Tourist Visa, so Egyptian ordinary passport holders do not need to visit an embassy in advance for short tourism. You apply entirely online at the official Indian e-Visa portal, upload a passport bio-page scan and a recent photo, pay the fee by card, and receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) by email, which you carry to the airport. Three e-Tourist sub-types exist: a 30-day double-entry visa, and 1-year and 5-year multiple-entry visas (each visit capped at relevant stay limits). Apply at least 4 days before arrival; you may apply up to 30 days ahead for the 30-day visa or 120 days ahead for the longer ones. Entry is only permitted through designated airports and seaports. Your passport must have at least six months validity and two blank pages. Note that the standalone Indian eVisa is distinct from the embassy sticker visa, which remains an option for purposes the eVisa does not cover.
