Egypt to Greenland visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Greenland. Greenland is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so a Schengen visa does not cover it; you must apply for a specific Greenland (Kingdom of Denmark) short-stay visa through the Danish mission/VFS Global in Egypt. Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark but is outside the European Union and outside the Schengen Area. Visa-free entry to Greenland is limited to Nordic nationals and to nationals who are exempt from the Schengen short-stay visa requirement (Annex II countries). Egypt is on the Schengen visa-required list (Annex I), so Egyptian ordinary passport holders require a visa for Greenland. Critically, a regular Schengen visa is NOT valid for Greenland, and a Greenland visa is not valid for Schengen; a specific territorial visa must be requested. Egyptian travelers apply through the Danish Foreign Ministry's online ApplyVisa portal and submit biometrics and documents at the VFS Global Visa Application Centre in Cairo (or Alexandria), where applications are processed on behalf of Denmark. The visa permits a short stay of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Conditions mirror Schengen short-stay visas, including the standard adult fee of EUR 90 and mandatory travel medical insurance of at least EUR 30,000. A single application form can request both a Greenland visa and a Schengen visa if both destinations are planned. ETIAS does not apply to Greenland, as ETIAS is a Schengen-area scheme and only affects visa-exempt nationals.
