Egypt to Estonia visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa to visit Estonia for tourism. Egypt is on the EU visa-required (Annex I) list, so ETIAS does not apply. Apply in person through VFS Global in Cairo on behalf of the Estonian Embassy before you travel. Estonia is a full member of the Schengen Area, and Egypt is on the EU's Annex I list of countries whose nationals must hold a visa to enter the Schengen zone. As a result, an Egyptian ordinary passport holder cannot travel visa-free and is NOT eligible for ETIAS (the visa-waiver scheme only covers visa-exempt nationalities). They must obtain a uniform Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) before departure. Applications for Estonia are lodged in person at the VFS Global Schengen Visa Application Centre in Cairo, which serves the Estonian Embassy. The form is pre-filled online at the Estonian MFA portal (eelviisataotlus.vm.ee), and applicants attend in person to submit documents and provide biometrics (photograph plus 10 fingerprints, unless valid prints were taken within the previous 59 months). The visa fee is EUR 90 plus a VFS service fee paid locally in EGP. A Type C Schengen visa permits stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the whole Schengen Area. Travelers should also be aware that the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is operational and biometrically records every Schengen entry and exit, automatically tracking the 90/180 limit. Applications should be lodged at least 15 calendar days before travel (no earlier than 6 months prior); standard processing is up to 15 calendar days but can extend to 30-45 days.
