Egypt to Belarus visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa for tourism in Belarus. Egypt is NOT on Belarus's unconditional 30-day visa-free airport list, and NOT on the e-visa list of 67 countries. The standard route is a Type C short-stay visa from the Belarusian Embassy in Cairo. A narrow visa-free exception exists only for travelers who already hold a valid multiple-entry EU/Schengen visa with an entry stamp. As of mid-2026, an Egyptian ordinary passport holder traveling to Belarus for tourism generally requires a visa. Belarus operates a 30-day visa-free airport program for citizens of 76 countries, but Egypt is NOT on that unconditional list. Belarus also launched an e-visa system on 20 March 2025 covering ordinary passport holders of 67 countries (mostly EU, North America, Gulf states, and parts of Asia/Latin America) — Egypt is NOT among them either. The practical, reliable channel for an Egyptian tourist is a traditional Type C short-stay visa obtained in advance from the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Cairo (or via the e-Pasluha consular portal where applicable). There is one important conditional exception: under the visa-free airport rules, Egyptian nationals MAY enter Belarus visa-free for up to 30 days IF they hold a valid multiple-entry EU member-state or Schengen visa with an entry stamp confirming prior entry to that territory, plus an onward air ticket departing within 30 days through Minsk, Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, or Vitebsk airports (not on flights to/from Russia). Travelers without such a Schengen/EU visa should plan on a standard embassy visa. Belarus is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so the 90/180 Schengen rule and ETIAS do not apply to entry into Belarus. Standard requirements include a passport valid at least 90 days beyond departure with a blank page, medical insurance covering at least EUR 10,000 valid in Belarus, proof of funds (about 2 base rates per day / up to 50 base rates for a full stay), and proof of onward travel.
