🇪🇬Egypt🇧🇦Bosnia and HerzegovinaEG-BA Egypt to Bosnia and Herzegovina visa requirements
Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina for tourism. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel and no eVisa; you must apply for a short-stay (Type C) visa at a Bosnian embassy or consulate before you travel. Important exception: if you already hold a valid multiple-entry Schengen, EU, or US visa or residence permit, you may enter Bosnia without a Bosnian visa for up to 30 days. As of 2026, Egypt is not on Bosnia and Herzegovina's visa-free list for ordinary passports, so Egyptian tourists must obtain a Bosnian short-stay (Type C) visa in advance from a Bosnian diplomatic mission (no eVisa, no visa on arrival). The Type C visa permits stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Bosnia is NOT in the Schengen Area (it is an EU candidate country), so the EU's ETIAS authorization does not apply to Bosnia, and the Schengen 90/180 calculation is separate from Bosnia's own 90/180 rule. A widely used shortcut exists: holders of a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa, or a residence permit/multiple-entry visa from an EU member state, a Schengen member state, or the United States, may enter Bosnia visa-free for a maximum of 30 days. Egyptians without such documents should apply for the Bosnian Type C visa: fees are EUR 35 (single entry) and EUR 65 (multiple entry), with typical processing around 10 working days. Sources consulted: the English Wikipedia visa-policy page, the Bosnian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (mvp.gov.ba), IATA-aligned Sherpa visa data, and Pegasus Airlines visa information, which agree on these points.
