Egypt to Argentina visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a tourist visa to enter Argentina. You must apply in advance at the Embassy of Argentina in Cairo; there is no visa-on-arrival, and Egypt is explicitly excluded from Argentina's AVE electronic travel authorization. An Egyptian citizen traveling to Argentina for tourism must obtain a consular tourist visa before departure. Argentina is not in the Schengen area and offers no visa-on-arrival to Egyptians. While Argentina runs an AVE (Autorizacion de Viaje Electronica) electronic travel authorization for some otherwise-visa-required nationals who hold a valid US visa, Egypt is explicitly listed among the countries NOT eligible for the AVE, so the only route is the traditional sticker visa. Applications are handled by the Embassy of Argentina in Cairo: the applicant emails the consular section (consular_eegip@mrecic.gov.ar) to begin, submits a full document set, attends an in-person consular interview, and pays a consular fee of USD 150 (payable in EGP at the day's exchange rate). The tourist visa allows a stay of up to 90 days. Plan ahead, since the embassy recommends starting 6 to 8 weeks before travel and processing typically takes 7 to 15 business days. Meeting all requirements does not guarantee issuance, and the consulate may request additional documents.
