Egypt to Angola visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Angola. Egypt is NOT on Angola's visa-exemption list, but Egyptians can apply online for a tourist eVisa (pre-approval) before travel through the SME portal, then have the visa finalized on arrival. As of mid-2026, Egypt is not among the roughly 90-100 countries whose ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free entry to Angola. Egyptian nationals are, however, eligible for Angola's tourist eVisa, introduced in 2018 and expanded since. The eVisa is a pre-approval obtained online from the Migration and Foreigners Service (Serviço de Migração e Estrangeiros, SME) at smevisa.gov.ao before departure; the actual short-stay visa is then issued and stamped upon arrival at an Angolan port of entry. The tourist visa permits a 30-day stay, must be used within 60 days of issuance, and can be extended once for a further 30 days inside Angola. A typical structure is a small online application fee plus a larger fee collected on arrival. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory, the passport must be valid for at least 9 months with two blank pages, and travelers should carry proof of accommodation, a return ticket and sufficient funds. Angola is in Southern Africa and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Because Egypt is not on the visa-waiver list, travelers should not attempt to arrive without the eVisa pre-approval.
