Egypt to Armenia visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Armenia. The easiest route is the official online e-visa (evisa.mfa.am), with the 21-day single-entry tourist e-visa costing AMD 3,000 and approval usually within 3 business days. Since 24 November 2024, Egyptian applicants must meet extra conditions: either hold a valid US/EU-Schengen/UK/GCC visa or residence permit, OR provide a return ticket, an invitation, a bank statement, and travel health insurance. Armenia is not visa-free for Egyptian ordinary passport holders, and it is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Egyptian nationals are eligible for Armenia's electronic visa (e-visa) issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the official portal evisa.mfa.am; a visa on arrival and an embassy/consular visa are also available. For a short tourist trip the e-visa is the standard and recommended channel. The single-entry tourist e-visa is valid for 21 days (AMD 3,000) or 120 days (AMD 15,000), with multiple-entry options of 6 months (AMD 20,000) and 1 year (AMD 40,000). Processing typically takes up to 3 business days. Critically, since 24 November 2024 Egypt (along with India and Iraq) faces additional documentation conditions: the applicant must either hold a valid visa or residence permit from the US, EU/Schengen, UK, or GCC states, OR submit a confirmed return flight ticket, an invitation from a host in Armenia, a recent bank statement showing sufficient funds, and valid travel health insurance. Travel insurance is required in all cases. The passport must be valid for the duration of the stay and have at least one blank page. Travelers should always re-check eligibility and current fees using the eligibility checker on evisa.mfa.am before applying, as conditions for Egyptian nationals have changed recently and may change again.
