Egypt to Albania visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Albania. The standard route is the official Albanian e-Visa (Type C, short stay) applied for online before travel; there is no visa on arrival. Exception: if you already hold a valid, previously-used multiple-entry Schengen, US or UK visa (or residence permit), you may enter Albania without an Albanian visa. As of 2 June 2026, Egypt is NOT on Albania's list of countries whose ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free entry, and Egypt is not included in Albania's seasonal (15 April – 31 December 2026) visa-waiver scheme, which covers only Saudi Arabia, Qatar and a few others. Albania's Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs visa-regime table confirms ordinary Egyptian passports require a visa; only Egyptian diplomatic/service passport holders are visa-exempt. The official and recommended channel is the Albanian e-Visa applied for at e-visa.al before departure — there is no visa on arrival at Albanian borders for Egyptians. For a short tourist trip you apply for a Type C (short-stay) e-Visa, which permits up to 90 days within any 180-day period. A significant, widely-used exemption applies regardless of nationality: holders of a valid, multiple-entry Schengen, US or UK visa (used at least once in the issuing territory) or a valid Schengen/US/UK residence permit may enter Albania visa-free for up to 90 days in 180. Egyptian travelers who hold such a visa do not need an Albanian e-Visa. Passports must be valid for at least 3 months. Because sources for the general case conflict and no reliable no-visa channel exists for an Egyptian ordinary passport on its own, the conservative and accurate verdict is that an e-Visa is required.
