Visa-free 60 days for German tourists. Extendable +30 days at Thai Immigration. German passport holders can enter Thailand visa-free for up to 60 days for tourism. Thailand expanded its visa exemption to 60 days for 93 countries in July 2024, including Germany. Travellers can extend their stay by an additional 30 days at a Thai Immigration Bureau office for THB 1,900. German visitors must enter via an immigration checkpoint with confirmed onward travel and proof of funds (THB 20,000 per person or THB 40,000 per family) — checks at the airport are inconsistent but occasionally enforced.
