Germany to Mexico visa requirements

No visa, ETA or eVisa is required. German ordinary passport holders may visit Mexico visa-free for tourism, transit or non-remunerated business for up to 180 days, with the exact stay set at entry. As of 20 June 2026, German ordinary passport holders do not need a Mexican visa, ETA, eVisa or SAE authorization for tourism, transit, business meetings or other non-remunerated visitor activities of up to 180 days. Mexican immigration decides admission and can authorize any stay from 1 to 180 days based on the documents and purpose presented at the border. German travelers should carry a passport in good condition with at least 6 months' validity at entry, proof of accommodation, return or onward travel, and evidence of sufficient funds. Air arrivals no longer present a paper FMM tourist card at international airports; the entry record is generated by immigration and the stamp or e-gate ticket shows the authorized stay. Land arrivals still use the FMM process and pay the 2026 visitor fee of MXN 983 unless the land stay is 7 days or less. Paid work, working-holiday activity and stays over 180 days require the appropriate Mexican visa or residence process before travel or through INM as applicable.
