Do Germany passport holders need a visa to visit Mexico?
Visa-free up to 180 days for German citizens; immigration officer determines actual length. German ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free travel to Mexico for tourism, business or transit for up to 180 days. Since January 2023, Mexican airports no longer issue the paper FMM tourist card — instead, immigration officers stamp the passport with the authorised length of stay (which may be less than 180 days at the officer's discretion). Always confirm the granted days written next to the entry stamp. Lufthansa, Condor, Aeroméxico and Discover Airlines operate direct flights from FRA/MUC to MEX and CUN.

For guidance only — visa rules change with little notice. Always confirm directly with the destination's embassy or foreign ministry before booking non-refundable travel. Information here applies to ordinary (non-diplomatic) passports unless noted.
