Germany to Morocco visa requirements

German ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for Morocco. They can enter visa-free for tourism, business, or family visits for up to 90 days. No eVisa, no visa-on-arrival, and no electronic travel authorization (AEVM) is required for German citizens as of 2026. As an EU member state, Germany is on Morocco's visa-exemption list. German citizens holding an ordinary passport may enter Morocco without a visa and stay up to 90 days per visit for tourism, business, or visiting family. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months on the date of entry, and a national ID card is NOT accepted (a full passport is mandatory). Morocco's AEVM electronic travel authorization is currently required only for a small set of specific nationalities (e.g., Congo, Ecuador, Ghana, Guinea as of 2026) and was temporarily applied to certain African countries during AFCON 2025 to January 2026; it does NOT apply to German travelers. Stays beyond 90 days require an extension approved by the foreigners' police (Sûreté Nationale) before the visa-free period expires, or a residence permit. Morocco is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entering Morocco; the 90-day allowance is per Moroccan entry.
