🇩🇪GERMANY🇭🇰HONG KONGDE-HK Do Germany passport holders need a visa to visit Hong Kong?
German ordinary passport holders can visit Hong Kong visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism. Germany is on Hong Kong's visa-free list, and German ordinary passport holders may enter Hong Kong for tourism or short visits for up to 90 days without any visa or pre-arrival permit. No eVisa, ETA or visa-on-arrival is required — entry is granted free of charge on arrival at the immigration counter. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least one month beyond the intended stay (six months is strongly recommended), proof of onward or return travel, and adequate funds for the visit. Note the Hong Kong permission does NOT cover Mainland China: a separate Chinese visa is required to cross into the Mainland. Working, studying or doing business beyond casual meetings requires a different visa category.
