China to India visa requirements

Chinese citizens need a regular Indian visa before travel; do not rely on the tourist e-Visa route. Chinese ordinary passport holders need a visa before travelling to India. As checked on 2026-06-19, China does not appear on the official India e-Visa eligible-country list for ordinary tourist e-Visa use, so the practical tourist route is a regular Indian visa application through Indian Visa Online and the authorised India Visa Application Centre/BLS channel in China. BLS China's 25 May 2026 advisory says nationals of the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong SAR, and Macao SAR intending to visit India on a Tourist Visa will be issued a double-entry regular Tourist Visa for a maximum of 180 days, with a two-month gap between two successive visits. Tourist visas do not permit work, study, journalism, or other activities outside the stated visitor purpose.
