Do China passport holders need a visa to visit India?

Chinese citizens need an Indian visa. eVisa available from indianvisaonline.gov.in. Chinese passport holders need a visa to enter India. The India e-Visa (eTV) is available online for tourism, business, medical, and conference purposes. China is included in India's e-Visa programme — applications are submitted via indianvisaonline.gov.in 4 to 120 days before arrival. The 30-day double-entry tourist e-Visa is USD 25, the 1-year multi-entry is USD 40, and the 5-year multi-entry is USD 80. China-India relations have warmed since the October 2024 disengagement agreement at the Line of Actual Control; direct flights between Beijing/Shanghai and Delhi/Mumbai resumed in early 2025 via IndiGo, Air India, and China Eastern. Tourist e-Visa allows arrival at 31 designated airports and 6 seaports. For longer stays, traditional embassy visas remain available from the Indian embassy in Beijing or consulates in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong.
