Do China passport holders need a visa to visit CH?

Yes, Chinese citizens need a Schengen short-stay visa to enter Switzerland. Chinese ordinary passport holders need a Schengen Type C short-stay visa for tourism, family visits, or short business trips to Switzerland, which is a full member of the Schengen Area. The visa allows up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the entire Schengen zone. Switzerland's official visa application provider in China is VFS Global, with centres in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan and other cities. Because China is a visa-required nationality, the new ETIAS travel authorisation does NOT apply to Chinese passport holders; they continue to apply for the standard Schengen visa.

Should I apply to Switzerland or another Schengen country?
Apply at the consulate of your main destination — the country where you will spend the most days. If days are equal, apply at the first country of entry. Applying to Switzerland for a trip mainly spent in France or Italy can lead to refusal.
