Canadian ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter India. Canada is listed as e-Visa eligible, and the Consulate General of India in Vancouver says Canadian passport holders travelling for tourism, business, medical or conference purposes may apply for e-Visa online. For tourism, the official 20-Feb-2026 e-Tourist fee PDF lists Canada at USD 10 for a 30-day e-TV in April-June, USD 25 for a 30-day e-TV in July-March, USD 40 for a 1-year e-TV, and USD 200 for a 5-year e-TV, plus bank charges of up to 3%. Canadians may also use e-Business Visa (USD 120) and e-Medical/e-Medical Attendant Visa (USD 80) categories when their purpose fits the official rules. Apply only at indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa, at least 4 days before arrival: up to 30 days ahead for the 30-day e-Tourist Visa and up to 120 days ahead for 1-year/5-year e-Tourist, e-Business and e-Medical visas.
