Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit UA?
No. Brazilian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourist or short visits to Ukraine. They may enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Ukraine is not part of the Schengen Area, so this 90/180 allowance is separate from any EU/Schengen limit. Brazil and Ukraine maintain a reciprocal visa-waiver arrangement. Holders of an ordinary Brazilian passport can enter Ukraine without a visa for tourism, business, or private visits for a cumulative stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. No e-Visa or visa-on-arrival is required for Brazilians (Ukraine's e-Visa scheme applies to a different list of about 45-46 nationalities that does not include Brazil). Travelers need a passport valid for at least the planned stay (recommended 3+ months beyond intended departure), and the State Border Guard Service may ask for proof of onward/return travel, accommodation or an invitation, and sufficient funds. Ukraine is NOT a Schengen member and runs its own independent visa policy, so the 90/180 count here is unrelated to the EU/Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS (ETIAS applies only to Schengen/EU, not Ukraine). Note: Ukraine has been under martial law since the 2022 full-scale invasion; entry by air is effectively closed and most foreign governments advise against travel. The legal visa-free status remains in force, but practical access is via land/rail from neighbouring countries and travelers must check current security and border conditions before departure.
