Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit SN?
Brazilian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist stays in Senegal. They are granted visa-free entry for up to 90 days on arrival. Watch one caveat: Senegal began rolling out a reciprocity-based e-Visa in 2025, so confirm your status close to departure. As of 31 May 2026, holders of an ordinary Brazilian passport can enter Senegal visa-free for tourism and short visits for up to 90 days. Brazil appears on Senegal's visa-exemption list (Wikipedia visa policy of Senegal, embassies.net, Sherpa), and no visa, e-Visa, or fee is required at entry. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry and have at least two blank pages; travelers should also be ready to show proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds. Yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from or transiting a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. One important development to monitor: in mid-2025 Senegal announced a reciprocity-based electronic visa (e-Visa) targeting nationals of countries that require visas from Senegalese citizens. Since Brazil does require a visa from Senegalese nationals, Brazil could in principle be drawn into the e-Visa regime. However, the publicly named affected countries to date are France, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and China, and every current authoritative listing still shows Brazil as visa-free for 90 days. Because the policy is still being phased in with limited published detail, Brazilian travelers should re-verify their status with a Senegalese embassy/consulate shortly before booking. The conservative, accurate current verdict is visa-free.
