Do Brazil passport holders need a visa to visit SD?
Brazilian ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Sudan. There is no visa-free entry, no genuine government eVisa, and no visa on arrival for Brazilians. The visa must be obtained in advance from a Sudanese embassy or consulate. Note that Sudan has been in armed conflict since April 2023, consular and entry services are heavily disrupted, and most governments advise against all travel. As of 2026-05-30, a Brazil (BR) ordinary passport holder cannot enter Sudan visa-free. Sudan's visa policy grants visa exemption only to a short list of nationalities (Egypt, Kuwait, UAE, Yemen, Qatar) and visa on arrival to four others (Eritrea, Kenya, Malaysia, Turkey); Brazil is on neither list. Only Brazilian diplomatic and official/service passports enjoy visa exemption under a bilateral agreement, which does NOT extend to ordinary tourist passports. Sudan does not operate an official government electronic-visa portal; the many "Sudan eVisa" websites are commercial intermediaries, not the issuing authority. Brazilian tourists must therefore apply in advance at a Sudanese embassy or consulate, typically submitting a passport valid at least six months, a completed application form, photos, a sponsorship/invitation letter, proof of accommodation and funds, and paying the visa fee (the Sudanese mission in Washington lists US$154 for a single-entry visa; fees vary by mission). Processing is commonly quoted at up to 10 working days but is unpredictable. Critically, Sudan has been engulfed in civil war between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces since 15 April 2023. The country is effectively partitioned, Khartoum International Airport has been damaged and largely non-operational, and consular services are severely curtailed. Brazil's Itamaraty and most foreign ministries advise against all travel to Sudan. Travelers should default to the conservative position: a visa is required, must be arranged in advance, and travel for tourism is strongly discouraged under current conditions.

For guidance only — visa rules change with little notice. Always confirm directly with the destination's embassy or foreign ministry before booking non-refundable travel. Information here applies to ordinary (non-diplomatic) passports unless noted.
