Brazil to Mozambique visa requirements

Brazilian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Mozambique. The recommended route is the eVisa, applied for online before travel at the official portal evisa.gov.mz. Since the new system launched in February 2026, airlines verify pre-travel authorization before boarding, so visa on arrival is now risky and not advised. Brazil is NOT on Mozambique's visa-exemption list (which covers 29 designated countries plus most SADC members), so Brazilian ordinary passport holders require a visa for tourism. Mozambique launched a modernized electronic visa platform (with VFS Global) on 11 February 2026 at evisa.gov.mz. The eVisa is the safest and recommended channel: apply online at least two weeks before departure, pay online, and travel with the approval. A 30-day single-entry tourist eVisa carries a government fee of about 6,250 MZN, with standard processing of roughly 10-15 working days (expedited options exist for an extra fee). While a visa on arrival has historically been available at major ports of entry (around USD 50), the 2026 rules mean airlines now check for pre-travel authorization and may deny boarding to travelers without it, making arrival visas unreliable for Brazilians. Passport must be valid 6+ months with blank pages, and officers commonly request proof of onward travel and accommodation.
