Belgium to Japan visa requirements

Belgian passport holders can visit Japan visa-free for up to 90 days; no eVisa or JESTA is required in 2026, and Visit Japan Web is recommended. Belgian nationals using a valid passport do not need a visa for Japan if the stay is 90 days or less and does not involve income-earning activities. The Embassy of Japan in Belgium advises Belgian travellers to carry a valid passport, a fixed-date return or onward ticket, itinerary or accommodation details, and proof of sufficient funds; landing permission remains at Japanese immigration's discretion.
