Austria to Honduras visa requirements

Austrian (ordinary) passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Honduras and may stay up to 90 days. Just carry a passport valid at least three (ideally six) months, proof of onward/return travel, and complete the customs/entry form on arrival. As of mid-2026, Austria is on Honduras's visa-exemption list. As an EU/Schengen member state, Austrian ordinary passport holders enter Honduras visa-free for tourism or business for stays of up to 90 days, with no visa, eVisa or visa-on-arrival required. The 90-day allowance falls under the Central America-4 (CA-4) Free Mobility Agreement zone (Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua): the 90 days are shared across all four countries combined, not 90 days per country. Travelers should hold a passport valid for at least three months (six months is strongly recommended by airlines and to avoid issues), evidence of onward or return travel and sufficient funds. On arrival by air a digital customs declaration (PECH platform) is completed; at land/sea borders a paper form is generally used. There is no Honduran government fee for the visa-free stay, though many travelers encounter a small airport/tourism charge typically bundled into the airfare. Honduras is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route (ETIAS concerns travel INTO Europe, not out of it). Overstays can incur fines and complications, so an extension should be requested from the Honduran immigration authority (Instituto Nacional de Migracion) before the 90 days expire if a longer stay is needed.
