🇦🇹Austria🇨🇮Côte d'IvoireAT-CI Austria to Côte d'Ivoire visa requirements
Austrian (ordinary) passport holders need an e-visa to enter Côte d'Ivoire for tourism. Apply online via the official SNEDAI portal before departure, then collect the biometric visa on arrival at Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny (Port Bouet) International Airport. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. There is no visa-free or pure visa-on-arrival channel for Austrian citizens visiting Côte d'Ivoire. The country operates an electronic visa (e-visa) system managed by SNEDAI. Travelers must complete an online pre-enrollment (pré-enrôlement) at snedai.com at least 5 business days before travel, paying a government fee of about EUR 73 (including bank charges). After approval, an entry authorization is issued and the biometric visa itself is finalized and collected at a dedicated kiosk at Abidjan's Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport (Port Bouet) on arrival. For this reason the e-visa generally requires arrival by air at Abidjan. The e-visa is valid for 3 months, allows multiple entries, and permits a short stay of up to 90 days. Required documents include a passport valid at least 6 months with a blank page, a round-trip flight reservation, proof of accommodation or an invitation letter, and a valid International Certificate of Vaccination against yellow fever, which is checked on arrival. Côte d'Ivoire is in West Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply to this route. Be conservative: a visa is required, and only the official SNEDAI portal should be used; third-party agencies add service fees.
