Austria to Belize visa requirements

Austrian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourist visits to Belize. They are granted a stay of up to 30 days on arrival, extendable locally. Austria appears on Belize's official visa-exemption list maintained by the Belize Department of Immigration and Nationality, so Austrian citizens holding an ordinary passport may enter Belize for tourism without obtaining a visa in advance. Immigration officers issue a visitor's permit of up to 30 days at the port of entry, free of charge. To be admitted, travelers must show a passport valid for the stay (commonly recommended at least 3-6 months of validity), proof of onward or return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds (immigration may ask for around US$75 per day). There is no entry visa fee, but Belize levies a departure tax/airport fee (roughly US$55-75.50 for international flights, normally bundled into the airfare) and a smaller land-border exit fee. As of late 2024/early 2025 Belize moved to electronic arrival and departure (immigration/customs) forms at ports of entry, replacing paper forms. Belize is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply here.
