Argentina to Tajikistan visa requirements

Argentine ordinary passport holders can enter Tajikistan visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism. Argentina is on Tajikistan's unilateral visa-free list (Government Decree effective 1 January 2022). No visa, e-visa, or pre-registration is required for a short visit. An e-visa remains an optional alternative if you need a longer stay (up to 60 days). As of 30 May 2026, citizens of Argentina holding an ordinary passport do NOT need a visa to enter Tajikistan for tourism or short visits. Argentina (the Argentine Republic) is one of the 52 countries covered by Tajikistan's unilateral visa-free regime, introduced by a Government of Tajikistan decree that took effect on 1 January 2022. Under this regime, Argentine travelers may stay up to 30 days per entry without any visa, e-visa, or advance authorization. Entry is permitted at all open international border crossings, including Dushanbe International Airport. For travelers who wish to stay longer than 30 days, Tajikistan also operates an official electronic visa system (evisa.tj) granting up to 60 days; this is optional, not required. Note two practical points unrelated to visa status: (1) a separate GBAO (Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region) permit is required to visit the Pamir Highway and surrounding areas, and it can be requested together with an e-visa or obtained locally; (2) the passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry. Because sources are consistent and the visa-free channel is confirmed against the Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and corroborating references, the verdict for a short tourist stay is visa-free.
