Argentina to Somalia visa requirements

Argentine (ordinary) passport holders need an eVisa to enter Somalia. Since 1 September 2025 Somalia requires an electronic travel authorization (eTAS/eVisa) obtained online before travel; visa-on-arrival has been abolished and travelers arriving without an approved eVisa are denied entry. Somalia does not grant visa-free entry to Argentine nationals. Effective 1 September 2025, the Federal Government of Somalia replaced its old visa-on-arrival system with a mandatory online eVisa / electronic travel authorization (eTAS), administered by the Immigration & Citizenship Agency through the official portal (etas.gov.so / evisa.gov.so). Argentine ordinary passport holders must apply and receive approval before boarding. The tourist eVisa is single-entry, costs about USD 65, permits a stay of up to 30 days, and must be used within 90 days of issue. A distinctive requirement is a sponsor: an invitation letter and sponsor code from a licensed Somali tour agency or registered business are needed, and applications without a valid sponsor commonly fail. Standard processing is roughly 3-10 working days, so travelers should apply well in advance. Note that Somalia remains subject to strong travel-safety advisories from many governments; this guidance covers entry documentation only, not safety. Somalia is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
