Argentina to Poland visa requirements

Argentine ordinary passport holders can travel to Poland visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen Area. No visa or ETIAS is required as of 30 May 2026. Poland is a member of the Schengen Area, and Argentina is on the EU list of third countries whose nationals are exempt from the short-stay visa requirement. An Argentine citizen holding an ordinary passport may enter Poland and the wider Schengen Area for tourism, business, family visits or transit without a visa, for a maximum of 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. The 90-day allowance is cumulative across ALL Schengen states, not per-country, and is calculated on a rolling basis (count backwards 180 days from any given date). At the border, travellers must satisfy entry conditions: a passport valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure, issued within the previous 10 years, plus evidence of accommodation, sufficient funds, a return/onward ticket, and travel medical insurance. Overstaying the 90/180 limit can lead to fines, deportation and a Schengen entry ban. Looking ahead, the EU's ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) is scheduled to launch in the last quarter of 2026, followed by a transitional period of at least six months during which it remains optional. As of the 30 May 2026 verification date ETIAS is NOT yet operational or required; once it goes live, Argentine travellers will need a EUR 20 online travel authorisation (free for those under 18 or over 70) valid up to three years. The EU Entry/Exit System (EES), a biometric border-registration system, is being phased in and replaces passport stamping but does not change the visa-free status.
