Argentina to Papua New Guinea visa requirements

Argentine ordinary passport holders need a visa for Papua New Guinea but can apply online: Argentina is eligible for PNG's electronic Easy Visitor Permit (eVisa), which grants a 60-day single-entry tourist stay for USD 50. No visa-on-arrival is available for Argentine nationals, so the eVisa must be obtained before travel. As of mid-2026, an Argentine citizen holding an ordinary passport cannot enter Papua New Guinea visa-free or by visa-on-arrival. Argentina is, however, on the list of nationalities eligible for the online Easy Visitor Permit (EVP), Papua New Guinea's electronic visitor visa issued by the Immigration and Citizenship Authority (ICA). The EVP is a single-entry permit allowing a tourist stay of up to 60 days, costs USD 50 (payable online in Kina equivalent), and is typically processed within 1-2 working days (up to 10 working days for complex cases). The permit is valid for 6 months from issue, within which the holder must enter, and it cannot be extended. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Since 1 October 2025, all arriving travellers must also complete the free PNG Digital Arrival Card (PNG DAC) online before arrival. Travellers whose specific itinerary does not fit the EVP can instead apply for the standard Tourist Visa online. The verdict is therefore eVisa: obtain it before departure.
