🇦🇷Argentina🇲🇬MadagascarAR-MG Argentina to Madagascar visa requirements
Argentine ordinary passport holders need a visa for Madagascar, but it is easy to obtain. You can apply for a tourist eVisa online before departure or get a visa on arrival at international airports. The eVisa is recommended to avoid airport queues. Madagascar does not offer visa-free entry to Argentine citizens, but it operates one of the most accessible visa regimes in the world: nationals of nearly every country (except Burundi and Palestine) may obtain either a visa on arrival or an electronic visa (eVisa) for tourism. For an Argentine passport holder making a short tourist visit, the eVisa is the recommended channel because it is processed online (issued within 72 hours of validation) and lets you skip the on-arrival paperwork lines at Ivato International Airport (Antananarivo) and other international airports. The eVisa is a single-entry tourist authorization with a maximum stay of 60 days; visa on arrival is available for stays up to 90 days. Fees are charged per length-of-stay tier and were increased in February 2026: the short-stay (up to 15 days) tier is now approximately EUR 30 / USD 35, and the 30-day tier is roughly USD 37. Madagascar is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry, proof of onward/return travel, and confirmed accommodation are required. The official portal is evisamada-mg.com; travelers may apply between one week and six months before departure. Fees are identical whether paid online or on arrival.
