🇦🇷Argentina🇰🇿KazakhstanAR-KZ Argentina to Kazakhstan visa requirements
Argentine ordinary passport holders can travel to Kazakhstan visa-free for tourism, staying up to 30 days within any 1-year period. No visa is required. A new optional QazETA electronic travel authorization exists but is currently recommendatory (free, not mandatory) during a pilot phase. Holders of an ordinary Argentine passport do not need a visa for short tourist or business visits to Kazakhstan. Under Kazakhstan's visa-free regime, Argentina is on the list of countries whose citizens may enter and stay for up to 30 days within any one-year period. Entry is granted at the border on presentation of a passport valid for the duration of stay; no advance visa application, fee, or consular appointment is required. Travelers must observe the 30-day limit and, if staying longer than the visa-free period or for non-tourist purposes, obtain an appropriate visa in advance. Separately, Kazakhstan launched the QazETA mobile Electronic Travel Authorization system on 15 July 2025 for visa-exempt nationals. As of mid-2026 the ETA is still in its pilot phase and is recommendatory rather than mandatory, issued free of charge and valid for 180 days, with applications submitted at least 72 hours before travel. Authorities have signaled the ETA will become mandatory after the pilot concludes (with a planned standard fee of about USD 10), but no firm date has been announced. Argentine travelers should therefore plan for visa-free entry while monitoring official notices in case the ETA becomes compulsory before their trip. Foreign nationals must also register their stay; for visa-free entrants this is typically handled automatically by hotels or the border crossing record.
