Argentina to Kuwait visa requirements

Argentine ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Kuwait. Argentina is NOT on Kuwait's 53-country visa-on-arrival/eVisa list (no South American nationality qualifies), so the visa must be arranged in advance. The only online (eVisa) route open to an Argentine is if you already hold a valid US, UK, or Schengen visa or residence permit; otherwise you need a Kuwaiti sponsor and a visa issued before travel. As of mid-2026, Kuwait grants visa-on-arrival or eVisa only to nationals of 53 eligible countries (mostly Western Europe, North America, and developed Asia-Pacific). Argentina is not among them, and there are no South American countries on the list. Consequently, an Argentine ordinary passport holder cannot obtain a visa freely on arrival and must hold a valid Kuwaiti visa before boarding. There is one practical online channel: Kuwait's eVisa system allows nationals of non-listed countries to apply electronically ONLY if they possess a valid US, UK, or Schengen visa or residence permit valid for at least 6 months; this eVisa is typically valid up to 1 year with a maximum stay of 30 days per entry. Argentines without such a third-country visa must instead obtain a sponsored visa (employer, family member who is a Kuwaiti resident/citizen, or an approved hotel/tour operator) through Kuwait's Ministry of Interior, or apply through a Kuwaiti embassy/consulate. Note that Kuwait has tightened and at times suspended general tourist and family-visit visa issuance pending a regulatory overhaul, so availability of a pure tourist visa for non-listed nationals can be limited and is best confirmed with the embassy or a Kuwaiti sponsor before planning travel. The standard government visa fee is around KWD 3. Passport must be valid at least 6 months. Kuwait is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
