Argentina to Kenya visa requirements

Argentine ordinary passport holders need an approved Kenya Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before travel. Kenya abolished traditional visas on 1 January 2024 and now requires the eTA for all non-exempt visitors, including Argentines. The 2025 African-nationals exemption does not apply to Argentina. As of 30 May 2026, Argentina (ordinary passport) is not visa-exempt for Kenya but is also not required to obtain a traditional embassy visa. Kenya replaced its visa regime with an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) effective 1 January 2024, mandatory for nearly all foreign visitors. A 2025 reform (effective around 30 May 2025) waived the eTA for most African nationals (except Libya and Somalia), but this does not extend to Argentina. Argentine travelers must therefore apply online at the official portal etakenya.go.ke before departure. The eTA is single-entry, costs roughly USD 30 in government fees (around USD 32.50-33.90 with processing/bank charges), is valid for travel within 90 days from issuance, permits a tourist stay of up to 90 days, and normally takes about 3 working days to process. Required items include a passport valid at least 6 months with a blank page, a passport photo or selfie, travel itinerary, accommodation details, and a payment card. Apply at least 3 days before travel.
