No. Visa-free entry is for tourism, family visits, business meetings and transit. Paid work or stays over 90 days require a long-stay visa.

Argentina is on the Schengen visa-exempt list, so an Argentine ordinary passport holder may travel to France for tourism or short visits without a visa, staying up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the whole Schengen Area. No application or fee is required for entry as of 30 May 2026. Two new EU border systems affect the trip but do not change the visa-free status: the Entry/Exit System (EES) became fully operational on 10 April 2026 and now electronically records biometrics and entry/exit at the border instead of stamping passports — no advance action is required. The ETIAS travel authorisation is scheduled to launch in the last quarter of 2026 (it is NOT yet required on this date); once live and after its grace period, Argentine travellers will need a €20 ETIAS approval before departure, but this is a pre-screening authorisation, not a visa. At the border, travellers must still satisfy entry conditions: a passport valid at least 3 months beyond the intended departure and issued within the last 10 years, proof of accommodation, return/onward ticket, and sufficient funds.
