Argentina to Finland visa requirements

No visa. Argentine ordinary passport holders can enter Finland visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days in any 180-day period as part of the Schengen Area. Argentina has a visa-waiver arrangement with the European Union, so holders of an ordinary Argentine passport do not need a Schengen visa to visit Finland for tourism or other short stays. Finland is a full member of the Schengen Area, and the visa-free allowance is the standard Schengen short-stay rule: a maximum of 90 days within any rolling 180-day period, counted cumulatively across all Schengen states (not Finland alone). Travelers must still meet standard entry conditions at the border: a passport valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date and issued within the last 10 years, proof of sufficient funds, onward/return travel, accommodation, and the purpose of the trip. As of 30 May 2026, the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is NOT yet operational. ETIAS is scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2026, after which visa-exempt nationals such as Argentines will need to obtain an ETIAS authorisation (EUR 20, valid 3 years or until passport expiry) before traveling. Until ETIAS is launched and its mandatory phase begins, Argentine citizens may continue to travel to Finland with no advance authorisation. Note also that the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is being rolled out at external borders to register entries and exits electronically; it does not change the visa-free status.
