Argentina to Belgium visa requirements

No visa needed. Argentine ordinary passport holders can enter Belgium and the wider Schengen Area visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Belgium is a member of the Schengen Area, and Argentina is on the EU's visa-exempt list for short stays. An Argentine ordinary passport holder may travel to Belgium for tourism, business, family visits or transit without a visa, staying up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date and issued within the previous 10 years. The only upcoming change is ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System): the EU plans to launch it in the last quarter of 2026, followed by a transitional grace period, with full enforcement expected in 2027. As of 30 May 2026, ETIAS is NOT yet required, so no pre-travel authorisation is needed today. Once ETIAS is live, Argentine travellers will need to obtain a EUR 20 online authorisation (valid 3 years) before departure, but this is a travel authorisation, not a visa, and does not change the 90/180 rule. Note also that the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) for biometric border registration is being rolled out, which may affect border crossing procedures.
