Argentina to Austria visa requirements

Visa-free. Argentine ordinary passport holders can visit Austria (a Schengen state) for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period without a visa. No visa or ETIAS is required as of 30 May 2026. Argentina is on the EU's Schengen visa-exemption list, so holders of an ordinary Argentine passport may enter Austria and the wider Schengen Area for tourism, business or family visits without a visa for stays of up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period, provided they take no paid employment. As of 30 May 2026 nothing more than a valid passport is required. Two new EU border systems affect the route: the Entry/Exit System (EES), which began operating on 10 April 2026 and electronically registers entries/exits (including fingerprints and a facial image) at the external Schengen border, replacing passport stamping; and ETIAS, a EUR 20 online travel authorisation that is scheduled to become mandatory only in the last quarter of 2026 (followed by a grace period). ETIAS is NOT yet required on 30 May 2026, so Argentine travellers continue to travel fully visa-free for now. Travellers should still carry proof of onward/return travel, accommodation and sufficient funds, and ensure the passport is valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure from Schengen.
